Tuesday, September 29, 2009

4:30-7:00 PM, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce

Opening Presenter

David Mooney, Director of NREL's Electricity, Resources & Building Systems Integration Center

Ph.D. Physics, University of Arkansas
B.S. Engineering and Physics, University of Tennessee

David is currently working at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory leading efforts to identify and address technical issues associated with the large-scale deployment and integration of renewable energy and end-use technologies into the existing energy infrastructure.  He is a 20-year veteran of the renewable energy industry.

PRV Performance

PRV Performance has developed a pintle-regulated Venturi (PRV) air/fuel induction system for automobiles that premixes fuel and air with minimum pumping loss, resulting in a higher intake pressure and a substantial increase in engine torque and fuel efficiency. The innovative mixture preparation is particularly advantageous for ethanol fueled engines.

James Meyer has spent five years designing, developing and testing the pintle-regulated Venturi fuel induction technology. Mr. Meyer has spent most of his career developing new processes for biofuels and improving processes in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Meyer has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University (1977), and is currently working on an MBA from Ashford University.

SunTrac Concentrating Solar Hot Water Collector

Current carbon based energy costs have been volatile and higher costs are predicted over the long term. The SunTrac solar panel is the only high temperature commercial grade solar thermal panel manufactured in the U.S. In addition to eliminating the unpredictable costs associated with current energy use, just one SunTrac solar panel will save as much as 1.7 metric tons of CO2 being released into the atmosphere per year.

Bill Lowstuter (President), founder of Energistic Systems and inventor of the SunTrac collector, has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.  He has 35 years of experience in executive management, R&D, and manufacturing in a variety of industries including P&L responsibility for a $100 million business unit in the aviation industry.
