Event Descriptions

Sustainable Opportunities Summit

CORE partners with the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado at Boulder, and the Office of Economic Development for the City and County of Denver to host an annual Sustainable Opportunities Summit.  The Summit features a stellar list of speakers, business, political, and academia sustainability leaders from around the world to discuss the business opportunities.  For more information:

CORE Sustainability Breakfast Series

CORE brings in local sustainable business experts and state and local government executives to present and report on a variety of sustainability initiatives in Colorado and elsewhere. This is a great networking opportunity and an event where you not only hear the speaker(s) but meet the speaker(s).  The Sustainability Breakfast is a monthly event: exact dates, times and venues may be found at Events Calendar.  Examples of
Sustainability Breakfast Presentations.

Not a member? Make sure you’re on the CORE email list for advance notices of this and all other CORE events and programs.

Distinguished Speaker Series

These events feature nationally recognized sustainable business practice experts, sometimes singly, sometimes in a panel discussion.  They are generally evening receptions that include considerable networking time before and after the program.

Member Receptions

The Membership Committee of CORE hosts quarterly member receptions. No programming, lots of networking and an opportunity for a member to bring a guest and introduce them to CORE.

Colorado CleanTech Initiative (CCI)

The Colorado Cleantech Initiative is a monthly networking and business development venue hosted jointly by CORE and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Its purpose is to promote economic development throughout Colorado by fostering the development of a robust cleantech industry cluster, with a supporting network that includes successful serial business entrepreneus, development professionals that go beyond business mentoring, a wide range of investors (including numerous angels and VCs), and others such as marketing experts. In addition, CCI provides access to virtual and traditional incubation services. Meetings are held at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce (1445 Market Street) on the last Tuesday of every month from 4:30 - 7:30 PM. They include networking time and presentations by emerging cleantech companies and/or clean energy experts.

To view the next CCI event go to Programs/Events and scroll through the list of CORE events until you find it.

To see samples of previous CCI event presentations visit Presentations.

Annual Members' Meeting:

The Annual Member’s Meeting is generally held in November.  Come hear about the successes  and future goals of the CORE organization while networking with fellow CORE members.  Exhibit opportunities available to promote your products and services to fellow CORE members.

Partnering Events:

CORE partners with a number of other Colorado organizations to provide a variety of programs and events of interest to our membership and others committed to a more sustainable economy. For partner and other CORE-supported events, go to CORE Supported Events/Programs
